June 4
Non-action
Please sit or recline comfortably. Cross your arms over your chest and take two deep breaths. Notice the rising and falling of your chest and stomach. Now, breathe normally. If you feel comfortable, close your eyes.
May we know that we have constant agency, yet we can find peace in non-action. Non-action is the space we can occupy when we must pause to reflect. At the crossroads of decisions, we can refrain from moving forward without awareness of what we want, where we are, and who we are. May we examine the crossroads in our minds, the choices we feel compelled to make. May we learn to stop, allowing our full agency to become clear. May we move neither toward something we are attached to nor away from something we reject. Whatever we cling to will leave us eventually, and whatever we reject will return repeatedly. May we learn to pause in the gap between rejecting something and moving toward it. And, in that moment, may we dwell in peace.
We rest in these thoughts and offer this awareness in meditation and prayers in the name of all that is Love.
May it be so
